Powderlips Step by Step


When you entrust Derma Skinlab for your Powderlips journey in Grand Prairie, anticipate a smooth and relaxing procedure:


Step 1: Derma Skinlab Consultation

Our PowderLips artist will spend time with you to find out what you want for your lips. We'll ask about the color and fullness you like and aim for a natural pout. By looking at your face and skin color, we'll figure out the best way to get the lips you're hoping for.

Step 2: Before Appointment

Avoid taking any blood-thinning medications starting from 2 days before procedure such as aspirin, ibuprofen. Consult with your doctor before stopping any prescribed medication.

Avoid Alcohol and Caffeine: Avoid consuming alcohol and caffeine at least 2 hours before the procedure.

Step 3: Double Numbing


We use a special DOUBLE NUMBING process to ensure that you won't feel and pain during the process.

Step 4: Perfect Lips Shaping

We will use the Phiapp software that uses 1.618 Golden Ratio equation to take detailed measurements of your face and lips.

Step 6: Aftercare Kit


We provide for you an After care kit including aftercare instructions.

Aftercare instructions:

First day: Wash lips gently with cetaphil or baby soap, rinse and dap dry with tissue then apply skin candy (Do this 5-6 times on the first day).

From 2nd day to 7th day, keep dry and continue to apply skin candy 2 times a day.

It's OK to take shower, remember to apply skin candy on lips before each time you shower to protect the lips. .

Yes, absolutely! We follow strict state board regulations to ensure a clean and safe environment for all our clients. All tools are sanitized and sterilized, and single-use products are used where applicable.

Do you offer walk-ins?

No — every appointment is booked in advance. It's one client at a time, which is why the work is unhurried and why nobody is waiting behind you.

Is there any downtime after getting Nano Brows or Microblading?

There’s minimal downtime. You may experience slight redness or flaking for a few days. Avoid sweating, swimming, and makeup on the area for about a week.

The studio is a private space and appointments are one at a time, so please come on your own where you can. If you need to bring someone, let us know when you book.

What are Nano Brows or Nano Hairstrokes?

Yes. The nano brows and microblading consultation is 30 minutes and costs $50 to book. The $50 is a deposit to prevent no-shows — it is returned if you decide not to book, or taken off your balance if you do.

Men are very welcome — brows and skin treatments are popular with male clients. Permanent makeup is for adults only.

How should I prepare for my Nano Brows or Microblading appointment?
